8 Week Appointment: The First Look

A month had passed since we got the good news. At about the 8 week mark, we were eager to check on baby. We had just told our parents, and were excited to know more about Baby Clack.

Gary was at a training in Oklahoma, so my mom came to visit and we scheduled an

appointment for an early ultrasound and blood test.

We FaceTimed Gary for the appointment. They did the ultrasound and we got to see baby for the very first time and hear a heartbeat. It was the sweetest thing to see our little jellybean. They estimated the due date as early March 2023. We had blood test results for gender determination sent to our friend, Tori Heckman, for safekeeping until Gary got home, so we could find out together what we were having.

We were relieved all signs pointed to a healthy baby. Everything felt so much more real!
